Why I Built The Rate Desk
A free, independent resource for anyone who’s tired of not knowing where their money could be working harder.
I’ve worked in banking for over 15 years. And one thing I see constantly — seniors coming in frustrated, driving from bank to bank trying to figure out who’s paying the best rate on their CD or money market account. They don’t know where to look. They don’t know who to trust. And half the time they settle for less than they deserve just because it got exhausting.
That bothered me. So I built The Rate Desk.
What This Site Is
The Rate Desk is a free consumer resource. Every week I track CD and money market rates at local banks, credit unions, and top online institutions across the country — and publish them in a clear, simple format anyone can understand. No jargon. No sales pitch. Just the numbers.
What This Site Is Not
I am not a bank. I am not a financial advisor. The Rate Desk has no affiliation with any financial institution. When I link to a bank or platform, I’ll always disclose if it’s a paid partnership. No hidden agendas.
Who It’s For
Anyone who has worked hard to save money and wants to make sure it’s earning what it should — especially those who don’t have hours to spend shopping rates on their own.
